Separation is a big change.
You do not have to navigate it alone.
Separation can leave you facing difficult decisions, unfamiliar processes, financial uncertainty and questions you never expected to have to answer.
You may be trying to work out where to begin, navigating the practical steps of separation or dealing with an unexpected issue long after the major arrangements have been made.
You may want a lawyer to manage everything, but the cost of ongoing legal representation can put that beyond reach.
Blue Haven provides practical guidance, structured resources and personalised support to help you navigate the challenges that arise during and after separation.
Whether you need help working out your next steps or simply want someone experienced to talk through a situation that has come up, you do not have to work everything out alone.
Legal experience.
A different kind of support.
I've spent more than a decade working in the legal industry, including as a family lawyer, running my own law firm and leading family law departments. I've seen firsthand how challenging separation can be, and how difficult it can be to navigate the legal and practical issues that come with it.
I've also seen how quickly legal costs can accumulate. For many people, having a lawyer manage every aspect of their separation is what they would prefer, but simply isn't financially possible.
I created Blue Haven for those people.
I wanted to offer a way for people to access practical support without having to engage a lawyer to manage their entire matter. Through accessible resources, editable templates and personalised support sessions, Blue Haven helps you organise your circumstances, prepare your own correspondence and work through the practical steps ahead.
And support isn't only for the beginning of separation. Sometimes, the major decisions have been made and arrangements are in place, but an unexpected issue arises or you need someone experienced to talk things through with. Blue Haven gives you somewhere to turn at different stages of separation, whenever you need practical guidance and support.
Blue Haven isn't a law firm, and I don't represent you in your separation. My aim is to help you feel less overwhelmed, better prepared and clearer about what to do next, while recognising when independent legal advice may be needed.
Because not being able to afford a lawyer to manage everything shouldn't mean having to work everything out entirely on your own.
Founder of Blue Haven: Jade Hopper
Practical separation support, when you can't afford a lawyer to manage it all.
For many people, separation brings difficult legal, financial and parenting issues at a time when money may already be tight.
You might want a lawyer to guide you through every step, but the cost of ongoing legal representation can feel out of reach. Or perhaps you've already worked through the major issues, but something new has come up and you're unsure how to handle it.
Blue Haven offers another option: practical resources and personalised support to help you navigate separation yourself, with independent legal advice where needed.
Practical help when you need it.
Access editable letter templates, guided resources and individual support sessions to help you organise your circumstances, work through practical tasks and talk through issues that arise during or after separation.
Support that fits your circumstances.
Whether you're trying to work out where to start, preparing for the next stage or dealing with an unexpected issue, access support that reflects what you need, when you need it.
Transparent, upfront pricing.
Know what you're paying before you commit. Choose resources and support sessions that suit your circumstances and budget, without committing to ongoing legal representation.
Experience you can draw on.
Founded by a former family lawyer with more than a decade of experience, Blue Haven provides practical guidance informed by experience in the legal industry, helping you feel more organised and prepared to navigate the process yourself.
Blue Haven is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation or replace independent legal advice. Some issues will require advice tailored to your circumstances, but you can still access practical support along the way.
You may not be able to afford a lawyer to manage everything. That doesn't mean you have to work through it all alone.
